I-295 Reopens After Crash In Cherry Hill; Injured Driver Extricated

The crash left a van partially wedged under a tractor-trailer.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A crash wedged a van under a tractor-trailer Wednesday, temporarily closing Interstate 295 in Cherry Hill.

A Chevrolet van was traveling north on I-295 at 11:19 a.m., when it rear-ended a Freightliner tractor-trailer, according to State Police.

Photos shared the Cherry Hill Fire Department show the front of the van wedged underneath the trailer.

First responders extricated the van driver, who was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

I-295 North was temporarily closed by Exit 34, which brings drivers to Route 70. The interstate fully reopened in the afternoon.
