East Girls Volleyball Gets Playoff Home Game Wednesday

The Cougars will take on Union City in the Group 4 tournament.

Cherry Hill East’s girls volleyball team will get at least one home game in the playoffs, as they open play in the supersized, 32-team Group 4 bracket hosting Union City Wednesday.

The Cougars drew the No. 12 seed in the tournament, which stretches across the entire state—there are no sectionals in the sport, which has fewer teams than most fall programs.

That opening-round game is slated for 4:30 p.m. at DiBart Gym Wednesday; with a win, East faces either No. 28 Linden at home or travels to Somerset County to take on No. 5 Ridge in the second round.
