CHERRY HILL, NJ — A home fit for a Philadelphia Flyers legend recently hit the market in Cherry Hill.

Bobby Clarke, a two-time Stanley Cup champion, lived in the township for part of his storied career. Although Clarke hasn't lived there in decades, the 1.45-acre property still has some details reminiscent of the Hockey Hall of Famer, including a backyard pool shaped like the Flyers logo.

The house on 54 Fries Ln. hit the market earlier this month with an asking price of $1.2 million. It's now under contract with multiple offers as of Monday, says realtor Daren M. Sautter, of Long & Foster Real Estate.

Born in Canada, Clarke made South Jersey his home during his playing career (1969-84) and in the decades since. First, he and his family lived on Kings Highway in Mount Ephraim. But after the Flyers won consecutive Stanley Cups from 1974-75, he and his wife Sandy opted for a more private setting in Cherry Hill, Clarke wrote in New Jersey Monthly.

The Cherry Hill house gave Clarke's family some needed seclusion. However, the family decided they wanted different, so they moved to Moorestown in the 1980s and, later, to Haddonfield.

Property records show Bobby and Sandy owned the house from 1975-82.

"That house, though, became a little too private," Clarke wrote in 2010. "We lived in Wilderness Acres, which was beautiful, the home and an acre-and-a-half in a wooded area. But we discovered we liked neighbors, so we sold that and bought a house in Moorestown."

The 5,200-square-foot estate features five gas fireplaces, a renovated gourmet kitchen with two dishwashers, and a wet bar in the living room, according to the listing. Outside, you'll find the in-ground pool, full-size tennis court and an exterior cabin.

The master bedroom has a sitting area with a gas fireplace, sliding doors to the upstairs balcony, two enormous walk-in closets, and a master bathroom with a walk-in shower, a granite double-vanity and heated floors.
