Kura Sushi In Cherry Hill Sets Opening Date
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar will soft launch this weekend, bringing 1 of Japan's biggest sushi chains to South Jersey.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — One of Japan's biggest sushi brands will open a restaurant this weekend in Cherry Hill.
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar will soft launch on Saturday in the Market Place at Garden State Park shopping center. Grand-opening festivities are set for Tuesday through Thursday.
Kura is one of Japan's biggest sushi-restaurant chains. Each location serves more than 100 dishes through a conveyer-belt system. Udon, ramen, side dishes and desserts are also available.

The Cherry Hill restaurant will be Kura's first South Jersey location.
During the soft opening, Kura will operate from 12-9 p.m. from Saturday through Monday. Regular hours will begin Tuesday during the grand opening:

- Sunday through Thursday: 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Fridays and Saturdays: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The "revolving" sushi bar snakes through the dining area. Sushi plates on the conveyer belt are sealed with ventilated lids.
Then there's the express belt, also known as the "sushi highway," which delivers food to tables after diners make custom orders on a touch-panel tablet.
The first 50 seated dine-in guests during the grand-opening days (Oct. 22-24) who show a Kura Sushi Rewards Member QR code will receive a Pikmin x Kura Sushi T-shirt. On the first grand-opening day, the first 300 seated dine-in guests will receive a commemorative Cherry Hill location sticker.
Guests must be added to the waitlist to qualify, which they'll be able to sign up for at the door.
