Lichtfuss was not home. He was arrested later that day when he was found in a parked vehicle at a Voorhees gas station.
When interviewed by detectives, Lichtfuss confessed to choking his wife. The medical examiner determined that Caraway died from neck compression and the manner of her death was homicide.
A jury found Lichtfuss guilty of first-degree murder. The verdict came after a six-day trial and 45 minutes of jury deliberation at Camden County Superior Court.
His sentencing date has not been scheduled as of Friday.
