A new season of symphonic showstoppers awaits with the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey (PSNJ)

Ticket sales are now underway for the 2025-2026 season of the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey - Recipient of The Presser Foundation 2025 Advancement of Music Grant. Concerts will take place at Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, NJ and for PSNJ’s popular Holiday Pops Concert, in performance in Voorhees as well as at Republic Bank Performing Arts Center in Sewell, NJ.

The orchestra plays under the baton of PSNJ Music Director James Allen Anderson.

“We open our season with Broadway showstoppers in October,” he shared, “from the dazzling energy of Bernstein’s ‘Overture to Candide’ to the lush, romantic melodies of Gershwin’s ‘An American in Paris,’ along with unforgettable Broadway hits performed by the one and only Tony-nominated Max von Essen. In December, we spread the cheer again with our annual Holiday Pops. Our February repertoire highlights the subversive power of music created under some of the most crushing oppression of 20th century totalitarianism -- Sibelius’ glorious ‘Finlandia’ and Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony. In May, we present a symphonic love letter to Italy, as composed by Verdi and Respighi, among others.”

PSNJ Board President Elura Nanos Kish noted that the May finale is also a sendoff for PSNJ’s patron travel tour to Italy.

“We launched our patron travel program last year with an unforgettable trip to Vienna, and it was such a meaningful way to connect with our supporters through shared musical experiences,” she said. “This year, to pair with our May concert theme, we’re heading to Bologna, Italy—where food, history, and music all come together. We’ll be announcing details soon, along with more programming from PSNJ outside the concert hall to enrich our travelers’ planning for this fantastic musical adventure in Bella Italia!”
