PHILADELPHIA — The family of the South Jersey man killed in the crash that collapsed a portion of Interstate 95 has received an outpouring of support, which now includes Philadelphia's pro-sports teams.

The Flyers, Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, and Union organizations made a collective $50,000 donation to build a trust for Nathaniel "Nate" Moody's daughter. Moody, 53, was hauling gasoline for Pennsauken company TK Transport when the fiery crash occurred June 11 in Philadelphia.

The Merchantville resident — a veteran and father of three — has been remembered as a "devoted family man" who left behind several people who loved him, including his 7-year-old daughter, according to a GoFundMe supporting his loved ones. The online fundraiser, with a goal of $100,000, has generated more than $40,000 for Moody's family as of noon Monday.
