Pennsauken Man Stole $15K in Drilling Tools, Police Say
Thomas Deputy, 38, was charged with third-degree theft after allegedly making off with wrenches valued at $15,000.

A Pennsauken man who allegedly made off with some $15,000 in tools from the test well drilling site at North Park Drive was arrested by Collingswood police.
At 8 a.m. on Oct. 24, workers at the job site reported that several construction tools were believed to have been taken sometime between then and Oct. 7.
Among the items missing were two huge wrenches, one valued at $5,000, and another valued at $10,000.

Detectives credited an alert observer who spotted someone enter the site and put some items into a silver car, the reported the license plate number to police.
That vehicle was registered to Thomas Deputy, 38, of Pennsauken, police said. He was charged with third-degree theft and was released on a summons.

Construction projects are likely targets for thefts; in the past year, more than $16,000 in materials was reported stolen from the South State Construction-run project on Route 130 in the borough.
