Route 70 Crash Downs Pole, Closes Lanes In Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A crash took down a pole on Route 70, leading to lane closures and traffic delays Thursday morning in Cherry Hill.

It happened on a stretch of Route 70 (Marlton Turnpike) a bit east of the New Jersey Turnpike, according to 511NJ.

There are 805 power outages in Cherry Hill as of 9:15 a.m., according to PSE&G.

Route 70 East is down to just the left lane as of 9 a.m.

The Marlkress Road light is out, and the jughandle to Greentree Road will be closed until power is restored, according to a township advisory.

Expect delays of 5 to 10 minutes in the area, 511NJ says.
