Roy Rogers Returns: Cherry Hill Restaurant Opening Coming Up

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Roy Rogers is back on the saddle and bringing all the fixin's back to South Jersey.

The once-thriving, Western-themed restaurant chain will open its Cherry Hill location Wednesday, marking its first eatery in South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia since the 1990s.

Roy Rogers restaurants have been a rarity in recent years, dwindling to a few-dozen locations. But a few years ago, the chain launched a strategy to develop restaurants in its core Mid-Atlantic market and then build outwards into different regions.

The brand continues to tout its "Triple Threat" of roast beef, burgers, and chicken sandwiches and tenders, with custom toppings available at the "Fixin’s Bar."

Cherry Hill's location will hold a grand-opening ceremony at 10 a.m. Wednesday with remarks from ownership and Mayor David Fleisher. JROTC Cadets from Cherry Hill High School West will raise the flag and local vocalist Debra Janove will sing the National Anthem. A donation will also be presented to the Cherry Hill Public Library.

Doors will open at 10:30 a.m.

The 3,300-square-foot restaurant will feature a drive-thru. It is located at 614 Haddonfield Rd.
