CHERRY HILL, NJ — Ryan Howard and Charlie Manuel will be among the former Phillies attending a Cherry Hill organization's fundraiser.
The Katz Jewish Community Center (JCC) will hold its Sports Awards later this month, honoring sports figures and community leaders from throughout the tri-state area. The event will pack some Phillies star power.
Howard will serve as keynote speaker, with Manuel making a special appearance. Larry Bowa, a former Phillies player and manager who now works in the team's front office, will moderate the event. They will speak about the positive impact that sports have had on their lives and provide suitable tributes to the honorees, according to the event listing.

The awards begin at 5:30 p.m. June 24 at the Katz JCC (1301 Springdale Rd, Cherry Hill). Proceeds will provide financial assistance and services for children to participate in youth-sports leagues, wellness classes and other health and fitness initiatives.
