Seth Joyner To Join Eagles Pep Rally In Camden Ahead Of Super Bowl

The Philadelphia Eagles great-turned-football analyst will rally with fans in South Jersey before the Birds face the Kansas City Chiefs.

CAMDEN, NJ — Philadelphia Eagles great Seth Joyner will attend a pep rally in Camden ahead of the team's Super Bowl matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The rally is set for noon Thursday at Camden City Hall (520 Market St.).

Joyner spent eight seasons (1986-93) with the Eagles, making the All-Pro second team twice and securing two of his three career Pro Bowl appearances in that time.

In 1991, the linebacker finished fifth in league MVP voting and second in the tally for NFL Defensive Player of the Year. During that season, he recorded 6.5 sacks, three interceptions and six fumble recoveries, including a league-leading two for touchdowns.

Joyner capped his career by winning Super Bowl XXXIII with the Broncos in the 1998 season.

The former All-Pro has been inducted into the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame and Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame. He was also named to the Eagles' 75th anniversary team in 2007.

As a football analyst, Joyner appears in Eagles pre- and postgame coverage and hosts The Seth Joyner Show.

Super Bowl LIX kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Fox.

Thursday's pep rally is hosted by Camden Mayor Victor Carstarphen and the Camden County Board of Commissioners.
