TD Bank Leaves Cherry Hill Headquarters, Putting A Unique Building Up For Sale
Realtors have some ideas for the future of the property, which features one of Cherry Hill's tallest and most uniquely designed buildings.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — TD Bank has left its longtime headquarters in Cherry Hill. Now, one of the township's tallest and most-unique buildings is for sale.
TD Bank, N.A. long had its national headquarters in a five-floor, wedding cake-shaped building off Route 70. Each floor is smaller than the one beneath it, going from 20,398 square feet on the ground to 5,400 at the top to create an open pyramid shape.
The company moved its headquarters to Mount Laurel, announcing the relocation earlier this month.

"By moving our HQ to 4140 Church Road (Mount Laurel), which is also home to our conference center, we're bringing our local colleagues closer together for a connected campus experience and creating more opportunities for colleagues to interact with senior leaders at the bank," a TD Bank spokesperson told Patch.
The 68,520-square-foot building in Cherry Hill was developed in 1986 for Commerce Bancorp, a South Jersey company that TD Bank acquired in 2007.

TD Bank actually sold the building in September 2024 for $1.7 million, according to property records. But the bank leased it back for about 14 months as employees relocated to Mount Laurel.
Now, it's back on the market for sale or lease.
The property "is perfect for an office or medical user who wishes to brand their location," according to the listing brochure by real estate-investment firm CRBE.
The building is in Cherry Hill's Highway Business zone, meaning the 4.12-acre property would allow development for retail, CRBE says.
TD Bank is still moving out of the old building but expects to fully vacate it by October.
The building (1701 Marlton Pike) won't be sold until it's vacant, CRBE says.
TD Bank, N.A. is an American national bank and a subsidiary of the multinational TD Bank (Toronto-Dominion Bank) based in Canada.
