Temporary Remote Learning Plans In Place For Cherry Hill Schools
The Cherry Hill Public School District has a temporary remote learning plan in place for COVID-19 positive students and exposures.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — As the Cherry Hill Public School District prepares for a full return to in-person instruction, district officials have announced their plans for students to continue learning in case of a quarantine due to the coronavirus.
“Temporary remote learning will be available for students in grades Pre-K-12 if the school confirms that they are advised to quarantine according to public health guidelines or if they test positive for COVID-19,” the district announced in an email to the community.
Each school will have a process for sharing assignments with students who are advised to quarantine due to close contact with a person who tests positive for the coronavirus. Login information will be available if attending classes via livestream video is an option.

There will be a waiting period of 1-3 days to begin live temporary remote learning so that teachers can properly prepare for students to join their classes remotely. The number of days depends on which school the student attends.
The district stressed that remote learning is only available for students who test positive for the coronavirus, or who come into close contact with someone who has tested positive for the coronavirus.

“Students who are out sick with COVID-19 symptoms but do not yet have test results will not have access to live remote learning,” officials said. “Temporary live remote learning will also not be available for students who are home sick for non-COVID reasons, for students who travel, or for any other reason.”
The district also shared a link to a chart illustrating quarantine guidelines for students for the start of the 2021-2022 school year. The guidelines are provided by the New Jersey Department of Health, and are subject to change.
