Virtual Discussion About Opioid Epidemic Set For Camden County
Camden County's "Where Are We Now?" virtual information session takes place Sept. 22.
CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — The Camden County Addiction Awareness Task Force will provide an overview of the opioid epidemic during its “Where Are We Now?” virtual information session Sept. 22.
The meeting, presented by the task force and Camden County College, will run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., and will be held via Zoom.
With more than 2,200 people losing their lives to the epidemic in the last 11 years, the discussion will focus on where we are now, what the facts are, and what is being done to combat it. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

The three speakers will include:
- John Pellicane, MBA, DRCC (Director-Office of Mental Health & Addiction);
- Desiree Whyte, MA, CPM (County and Alcohol Drug Director , Monmouth County); and
- LeRoy F. Stanford, Jr., MHS-C, LCADC, CCS, ICADC, LPC Teaching Administrator-Director Addictions Counseling Program Camden County College.
