Arts Groups Invited to Apply for Grants

Burlington County is offering thousands of dollars in grant funding to .

Aimed at making the arts an affordable and integral part of the community, the competitive matching grant dollars are offered by Burlington County in partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State through the Local Arts Program. The limited funding may be used for arts-related activities conducted between Jan. 1, 2013, and Dec. 31, 2013.
       
First-time applicants may be eligible for grants up to $3,000 each, and organizations that have a prior grant history with Burlington County may be eligible for grants up to $5,000 each. All grant awards require matching applicant funds.

The “notice of intent to apply” for grant funding must be filed by 4 p.m. Sept. 12, 2012.

Free workshops focusing on the application process will be scheduled and any organization applying for funding for the first time will be required to have a representative attend one of the sessions. Organizations that have received funding in the past should also consider attending a workshop.
