Burlington Co. Man Secretly Filmed Underage Girl In Bathroom

BURLINGTON, NJ — A Burlington County man was sentenced to prison for placing a hidden camera in a bathroom to secretly record an underage girl, officials said Friday.

Joseph J. Stevenson, 35, of Burlington City, was sentenced Feb. 21 to four years behind bars.

The investigation began when the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children sent the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office a tip about Stevenson's online activities.

Authorities have withheld additional details about the case to project the victim's identity.

Court records show Stevenson was charged in 2023. He pleaded guilty last year to second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Stevenson can become parole eligible in June 2026, according to prison records.
