Guns, Drugs Seized in Search of Cinnaminson Home: Police

Cinnaminson Police said the investigation was prompted by complaints of drug trafficking at the Kelso Lane home.

Law enforcement arrested two people and seized multiple weapons and $15,000 worth of drugs from a Cinnaminson home Wednesday following a lengthy investigation.

According to Cinnaminson Police, a warrant was obtained for the home on the unit block of Kelso Lane subsequent to the investigation, which was prompted by complaints of narcotics possibly being sold at the home. 

Cinnaminson Police, along with the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office Gang, Gun and Narcotics Task Force and the Willingboro Police Department SWAT team, executed the warrant Wednesday and discovered an assault rifle, a shotgun, approximately 3.5 pounds of marijuana, and a large quantity of heroin, according to a report. The street value of the drugs is approximately $15,000.

Police charged Charles Richards, 27, with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and related charges. He was lodged in Burlington County Jail on $75,000 bail, police said. Additional charges are pending. Elizabeth Albertson, 27, was also arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and released pending a court hearing.

Cinnaminson Police Director Mickey King stated, "Cinnaminson Police will continue to utilize all of its resources to aggressively investigate and apprehend offenders when it receives reports of narcotics distribution. We appreciate the assistance of the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office Gang, Gun and Narcotics Task Force, and the Willingboro Police Department."
