Rafael Colin Salinas, 35, died Monday after his vehicle was thrown between lanes by 3 different vehicles, state police said.
TABERNACLE, NJ — A Burlington County husband and father was killed in a multi-vehicle crash while waiting to turn into his driveway Monday morning.
Rafael Colin Salinas, 35, of Tabernacle Township, was coming back from the grocery store with milk at around 8:52 a.m. when a Freightliner M2 hit Salinas’ Nissan Titan from behind on Route 206 as Salinas was stopped to make a left turn into his property, according to State Police and a GoFundMe page for funeral expenses.
The force of the Freightliner pushed Salinas’ Nissan into the northbound lane of the highway near milepost 15.4, state police said. A Kentworth W90 traveling north on the highway struck the Nissan head-on, pushing the Nissan back to the southbound lanes.

“He was a father, a husband, a son, and a friend. He leaves behind his 3 beautiful children and wife,” Sonia Ucciferri, a friend of the family, wrote in a GoFundMe post for Salinas’ wife and kids. “We are asking for funds to give Rafael the memorial he deserves, give the family a chance to say their last goodbyes, and to support them through this tragedy. Please help relieve the financial burden of this tragedy, no one should have to go through this.”
