Teen Driver's Car Speeds Into Woods, Overturns In BurlCo: Police

The teenager was driving another juvenile, officials said.

MEDFORD, NJ — A teen's reckless driving caused his car to leave the roadway and overturn Sunday in Medford, authorities said.

The driver — a 17-year-old Medford resident — had another juvenile in the vehicle, police said. No one was injured in the crash.

At around 8 p.m., the teen was speeding south on Branin Road toward the bend at Chapel Avenue, police said. His 2005 Mercedes Benz traveled into the wood line off the roadway.

The vehicle struck a wire that stretched from the ground to a telephone pole and overturned, police said.

The driver was issued summonses for speeding, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, license plate violation, window tint, failure to observe street signs, obstructed view, and failure to keep right.

During the investigation, Branin Road was closed from Chairville Road to Chapel Avenue.
