Before he had even entered his mid-twenties, 31-year-old Arkansas native Jacob George had served three tours in the Afghan War.
When he came back home, he said, the experience had changed him so much that his own brother, Jordan, no longer recognized him.
In the years that have passed since, the pair founded a "veteran-led, perpetual bicycle ride for recovery and healing," called A Ride Till The End.
They've ridden several thousand miles across the country, bringing music and stories in an effort to heal those wounds.
On Sunday afternoon, from 4 to 6 p.m., George will be performing at Studio LuLoo in Oaklyn (215 W. Clinton Avenue, 856.858.4444).
Come out and hear selections from his latest recording, Soldier's Heart: "a collection of song and story based on his experiences in Afghanistan and the struggle of coming home from war."
