Boy, 14, Killed After Attending Birthday Party In Camden: Officials

A boy from Lindenwold was shot dead Saturday after he attended a birthday party at the Elks Lodge, according to Camden County officials.

CAMDEN, NJ — County police say a 14-year-old boy is dead in a shooting after he attended a birthday party Saturday in Camden.

The Lindenwold teen had been at the Elks Lodge on Mt. Ephraim Ave. for the party, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

Camden County Police got a report of gunshots fired at 9:32 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Mt. Ephraim Avenue, officials said. They found the victim, who has not been identified, unconscious.

First responders took him to Cooper University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:04 p.m. Police have not released any information about a suspect or a motive for the shooting.
