Collingswood Wrestlers Learn Their Seeds for Region 7 Tourney

Collingswood's 10 wrestlers headed to the Region 7 tournament this week got their first look at first-round opponents.

The Trentonian published the full seedings for the Region 7 tournament. Several Collingswood wrestlers came out on the better side of the seeding versus their first opponent. Mike Campbell, who won a District 28 title this weekend, received a first-round bye.

Collingswood's seeds in the Region 7 tournament are:

120 pounds: No. 10 Donnie Daly (Collingswood) vs. No. 7 Sean Cahill (Shawnee)

126 pounds: No. 10 Zane Chunko (Collingswood) vs. No. 7 Tyler Beers (Hamilton East)

132 pounds: No. 14 Colin Lex (Collingswood) vs. No. 3 Aaron Lambert (Burlington Township)

138 pounds: No. 9 David Hessert (Haddonfield) vs. No. 8 Shawn Clark (Collingswood)

145 pounds: No. 13 Matt DeBernardinis (Shawnee) vs. No. 4 Alex Irwin (Collingswood)

152 pounds: No. 9 Ali Ayaz (Collingswood) vs. No. 8 Marvin Japa (Haddon Township)

160 pounds: No. 2 Mike Campbell (Collingswood) to wrestle winner of No. 10 Devin McGonangle (Audubon) vs. No. 7 Jared Meeks (Shawnee) 

182 pounds: No. 15 Billy Crowley (Collingswood) vs. No. 2 Joey DiCristofaro (Highstown)

195 pounds: No. 9 Pat Miles (Collingswood) vs. No. 8 Jerry Peralta (Cherry Hill East)

220 pounds: No. 9 Edgar Castellanos (Sterling) vs. No. 8 John Deaner (Collingswood)

Regions start Feb. 27 at Robbinsville High School in Mercer County. The top three in each weight class move to state bouts, NJ.com reports.
