Ex-Employee Arrested in Scrap Theft at Sheridan Plumbing

Former Sheridan worker George Becker, 31, of Gloucester City and Timothy Rusk, 29, of Bellmawr, were charged in the break-in.

Police say scrap metal was the target of a commercial theft at Sheridan Plumbing and Heating that resulted in the arrest of a Gloucester City man who used to work for the company.

On July 8, Collingswood police received a report of a garage burglary in the 600 block of Atlantic Ave. in which more than $1,000 in scrap copper and other metals were stolen.

Upon investigation, police charged 31-year-old George Becker of Gloucester City, an ex-employee of Sheridan, with third-degree conspiracy to commit burglary.
