Driver Ran Red In Crash That Killed Woman, Seriously Injured 3 Others In South Jersey: PD

All 4 people in the vehicle that got struck were seriously injured, authorities said.

UPPER DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ — A driver ran a red light and struck another vehicle, which killed a woman and seriously injured several others Saturday in Cumberland County, authorities said.

The crash happened at 5:53 p.m. in Upper Deerfield Township, said State Police Tpr. Christopher Postorino.

Judith Fleming, 72, was driving northbound on South Woodruff Road and ran a red light to turn right onto Irving Avenue, Postorino said. As she make the turn, her Tesla struck a Honda car that was traveling west on Irving Avenue, police said.

All four people in the Honda were seriously injured, including a woman who was mortally wounded, Postorino said. Police identified her as Yerlimari Quinones, 38, of Bridgeton.

Fleming, of Vineland, sustained minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, with no charges announced as of Monday morning.
