Actress Marcia Gay Harden Stops By Cranford Restaurant

Marcia Gay Harden is currently shooting a film in Cranford and visited a local restaurant for dinner.

CRANFORD, NJ — The Oscar- and Tony-winning actress best known for her roles in "Mystic River," "Pollock" and "The First Wives Club" paid a visit to a Cranford restaurant Wednesday night.

According to a Facebook post from Downtown Cranford, Harden is currently filming a movie in Cranford and stopped by Venue 104 for dinner on Wednesday.

Caren Demyen of Downtown Cranford said Harden is filming a movie called "Daughter of the Bride."

Recently, Cranford has been a popular spot for filming movie scenes. Holly Street was briefly closed down in May for a filming project; and actors William H. Macy and Diane Keaton shot a scene for the film "Maybe I Do" in February.

Macy and Keaton shot the scene at Craven BBQ downtown, and the owner of the restaurant even landed a cameo.

Downtown Cranford wrote on its Facebook page that Harden took photos with the owner of Venue 104, Franco Vitella, and his staff.

Venue 104 is a restaurant that also hosts a variety of private events, including corporate meetings, holiday parties, fundraisers, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, bridal or baby showers, communions, Sweet 16s and more.

"We hope Marcia Gay Harden is enjoying her time in Cranford, and appreciate her support of our Downtown Cranford businesses!" Downtown Cranford wrote.

Harden is also known for her roles in "Miller's Crossing," "Flubber," "Space Cowboys" and "Fifty Shades of Grey," among others.
