Burglary Of Cranford Business Leads To Arrest Of 3 Men: Police

After a brief foot chase, three men from Middlesex County were arrested for burglary and criminal mischief Thursday morning, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ — Three men from Middlesex County were charged with burglarizing an automotive commercial business in Cranford Thursday morning, according to Cranford Police.

Officers Robert Chamra and James T. Wilson arrived at the business on the 100 block of South Avenue West after a report that three trespassers were pulling wires to the security system from the commercial building, police said.

Chamra saw multiple suspects fleeing the scene on South Avenue toward Lincoln Avenue West upon arrival, according to police.

After a brief foot chase, Joel Diaz, 23, Beilyn Gomez, 21, and Andres Guillen, 19 — all from New Brunswick — were arrested for burglary and criminal mischief.

Diaz, Gomez and Guillen were all charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree resisting arrest and criminal mischief. Police said they were processed and provided a superior court appearance date.
