Cranford Man Sentenced to 70 Months For Child Pornography

The man's computer contained more than 600 images of child sexual abuse that he had downloaded from the internet.

CRANFORD, NJ — A Union County man was sentenced to 70 months in prison for receiving images of child sexual abuse, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig announced.

Joseph Hinksmon, 42, of Cranford, pleaded guilty to an indictment charging him with receipt of child pornography.

According to the indictment, from July 10, 2019, through July 24, 2019 Hinksmon's computer contained more than 600 images of child sexual abuse that he had downloaded from the internet, including images of prepubescent children.

In addition to the 70-month sentence, Hinksmon was sentenced to 10 years of supervised release and ordered to pay restitution of $75,000.
