Cranford Police Youth Academy Registration Opens May 11

CRANFORD, NJ — The Cranford Police Department announced they will be hosting their annual Cranford Police Youth Academy Class in the summer of 2022.
The Academy will begin Monday, July 11 and conclude Friday, July 15. This law enforcement educational experience is offered to Cranford students completing grades 6-8.
The primary goal of the Cranford Police Youth Academy is to encourage open communication between the youth of Cranford and members of the Cranford Police Department, according to a recent announcement. The program gives Cranford youth the opportunity to see some of the aspects of local, county, state and federal law enforcement.

Classes will run daily from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Applications will be available on the Cranford Police Department's free app beginning Wednesday, May 11 at 4 p.m.

Once the application process begins, applicants should look for the “Youth Academy” button in the Cranford PD app to complete applications.
This year's academy is limited to the first 40 applicants, who must be Cranford residents. Any additional applicants received will be placed on a waitlist.
There is a $110 registration fee which covers uniforms, equipment and expenses that is due upon applicants being notified of an applicant’s acceptance into the Youth Academy.
Payment may be made in the form of a check or money order made out to the “Township of Cranford”.
