Among the major issues on the minds of voters is public safety, with the rising popularity of electronic bikes and scooters. The Cranford Township Commission passed an ordinance to regulate e-bikes and scooters, giving police the ability to impound vehicles being operated carelessly.

Another sticking point voters are looking for more answers on is the rise in taxes. A $55 million bond referendum in January 2024 was said to be enriching facilities and projects for area schools, while some taxpayers believe the burden of developing luxury apartments and other features is being placed on residents.
