CRANFORD, NJ — The popular Italian deli in Cranford is back in business after shutting down during the holidays due to a COVID outbreak amongst its staff.

The Gourmet Deli's owner, Dominick LaMantia, and his staff were in quarantine over the holidays after testing positive for COVID-19, causing the deli to close temporarily. As of Monday, the store is open and ready for customers.

LaMantia was hospitalized with COVID but is now home recuperating and working on gaining his strength back, according to Downtown Cranford's Facebook post.
