Independent William Thilly To Run For Cranford Township Committee

Thilly joins four other candidates who are running for two open seats on the Cranford Township Committee this year.

CRANFORD, NJ — An additional candidate has announced he is running in this year's Cranford Township Committee election as an independent.

Candidate William Thilly will appear on the ballot for the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Five candidates are now running for two open seats on Cranford's Township Committee. The other candidates include Democrat Mayor Kathleen Mayor Prunty, who is running for a second term, along with Democrat Terrence Curran, Republican and current Committeewoman Mary O'Connor, along with Republican Chrissa Stulpin.

As an independent candidate, Thilly did not appear on the primary ballot.

"I am excited to meet everyone and make new friends during the campaign," Thilly told Patch. "We will be hosting various events for the public to meet, ask questions and get to the point."
