• Miller Prunty Takes Over As Mayor Of Cranford (patch.com) — Cranford residents have a familiar face back in charge as longtime public servant Kathleen Miller Prunty is sworn in for a new term as mayor, alongside former mayor Dr. Terrence Curran on the Township Committee. The reorganization meeting, attended by Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill, also confirmed Paul A. Gallo as Deputy Mayor and Commissioner of Public Safety, with priorities including public safety education and continued community-focused initiatives.

• Boys Basketball: Union Beats Cranford, 69-52 (tapinto.net) — Cranford boys basketball fell at home to Union, 69–52, as the visitors hit 12 threes and controlled the game from the first quarter on. Enzo Madrini led Cranford with 23 points and five rebounds, while teammate Nick Kiriakitis added eight points and three assists in the Cougars’ effort.
