Stolen Gun, Drugs Found During Arrest In Cranford
The man was stopped along Myrtle Street.

CRANFORD, NJ — A man from Hillside was arrested Wednesday after being found with a stolen gun and drugs during a traffic stop.
Jack Jeanbatiste, 28, is charged with possession of a firearm, receiving stolen property, and possession of controlled dangerous substances with the intent to distribute.
Shortly after midnight, Cranford Police say they stopped the driver of a black 2021 Honda Accord for motor vehicle violations on Myrtle Street. Officers found a loaded HK 9mm semi-automatic handgun, 16 rounds of ammunition, ecstasy, heroin, and cocaine in the car.

Jeanbaptiste was taken into custody without conflict and is being held at the Union County Jail awaiting a detention hearing.
