Water Main Break Closes Springfield Avenue In Cranford

CRANFORD, NJ — A water main break has closed parts of Springfield Avenue in Cranford.

The road is closed between Orange Avenue and West End Place. Crews are on scene working on repairs. Police warned the closure will greatly impact traffic in the area of Cranford High School, Brookside Place School and Orange Avenue School at dismissal.

Northbound traffic on Springfield Avenue will be detoured onto Orange Avenue. Southbound traffic on Springfield Avenue will be detoured onto West End Place.

Drivers on the road and parents at pick-up time should use alternate routes, expect major delays, and leave ample travel time.
