• Pedestrian struck, killed outside N.J. hospital is ID'd (nj.com subscription) — A 70-year-old Dover woman, Andrea Ramos, died after being struck by a vehicle on Pocono Road outside Saint Clare's Denville Hospital last Wednesday evening. Authorities say no charges have been filed against the driver so far, and friends have launched an online fundraiser remembering Ramos as a devoted mother and caring community member.
   

• Wreaths Across America Tribute (militaryspot.com) — A wreath-laying ceremony at Picatinny Arsenal this week specifically honored 32 men from three Dover Marine companies who were killed in action at the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir. The expanded Wreaths Across America tribute also recognized New Jersey service members lost in recent conflicts, the 1926 Lake Denmark explosion, and local Revolutionary and World War II dead.
