13-Court Indoor Pickleball Facility Coming To East Brunswick
The new facility is scheduled to open in mid-2026.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Picklr, one of the fastest-growing indoor pickleball franchises, has signed a lease for its third New Jersey location, bringing a state-of-the-art 40,000-square-foot facility to East Brunswick.
The new club, scheduled to open mid-2026, will occupy space in the former Brunswick Square Mall at 755 Route 18, as part of a comprehensive redevelopment project transforming the site into a mixed-use development with residential, retail, and commercial components, the company said.
The facility's strategic location provides convenient access for Central New Jersey residents, with proximity to major highways including the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, and Route 9.

The facility will offer private and semi-private lessons with certified Picklr trainers, plus monthly member benefits including four complimentary guest passes and four free clinics. Additional amenities include a full pro shop, locker rooms, and private event space.
The nationwide membership structure allows East Brunswick members to access other NJ locations in Manahawkin-LBI and Fair Lawn.
Arete Sports Group will manage and operate the facility.
East Brunswick and the surrounding communities have embraced pickleball, and this new club is designed not only to meet the needs of today’s players, but to fuel the sport’s continued growth across the region,” said Tom Neale, the Founder of Arete Sports Group and Pickleball Long Island.
“We believe that once players discover our first-class state-of-the-art premier facilities, all-inclusive member benefits, professional level playing conditions, and a wide range of programs for every age and skill level, they’ll choose The Picklr as their home for pickleball.”
The ownership group includes Scott Schubiger, a New Jersey resident and former Chief Growth Officer at The Picklr, who helped expand the brand from a handful of clubs to over 500 locations sold globally.
The lease was negotiated by the owner-operator group, represented by Global Realty Services USA, with building landlord Paramount Realty, the company said.
