3 Killed In Garden State Parkway Crash
Three people — two adults and a teen — were killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway near Woodbridge late Saturday night, state police said.

Troopers responded shortly before midnight Sunday to milepost 131.1 on the northbound parkway in Woodbridge, police said.
Authorities identified the deceased as David and Michele Dryerman, both 54 and of Woodcliff Lake, and a 17-year-old girl, also from Woodcliff Lake.

David Dryerman was driving a Tesla Model S north when it ran off the road and hit a sign, a guardrail and a concrete bridge support, state police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
Man Killed In Newark Shooting
A man was killed in a weekend shooting in Newark, according to media reports.
The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. on Saturday and the man was taken to an area hospital, NJ.com reported.
Authorities did not identify the man. The investigation is ongoing.
Man Fatally Struck By Train In Red Bank
A man was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train in Red Bank on Saturday afternoon.
The man was identified as Anthony Depalma, 39.
The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the Bridge Avenue and Monmouth Street crossing.
Car Crashes Through Fence Into Restaurant In Ridgewood
A car crashed through a fence and into a restaurant in Ridgewood on Friday night, according to a media report.
A black Toyota Prius crashed through a chain link fence, over a retaining wall and in the back of a restaurant building, News 12 reported.
No injuries were reported and the restaurant was undamaged.
The cause of the crash remains unknown.
3 People Hospitalized In Route 3 Crash
Three people were hospitalized after a crash on Route 3 in Rutherford early Sunday morning.
Shortly after 5 a.m. on Sunday, the Rutherford Police Department responded to Route 3 West in reference to a motor vehicle crash.
According to investigators, a 2022 Ford Range driven by Justin LaTorre, 40, crashed into a 2018 Honda HRV, injuring four occupants, three of whom were treated at a hospital.
LaTorre attempted to make a U-turn in the westbound lanes of Route 3, causing the collision, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.
He was charged with three counts of assault by auto and a count of driving while intoxicated, the Prosecutor's Office said.
LaTorre was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack to await a first appearance, according to authorities.
