5 Die In Fires, Crashes, Shooting In NJ Over The Weekend

NEW JERSEY - A pair of fatal fires, a pedestrian run down, a motorcyclist killed and a teen succumbing to a gunshot wound punctuated the first weekend in November in the Garden State.

Woman Killed In House Fire

A 79-year-old woman died in a house fire in Wyckoff Sunday, prosecutors said.

Around 12:05 p.m. on Sunday, Wyckoff Police received a 911 call reporting a house fire at 481 Meer Ave., the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said. Police found Virginia Ingenito unresponsive. She was later pronounced dead, prosecutors said.

The Wyckoff Fire Department extinguished the blaze and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

71-Year-Old Dead In 3-Alarm House Fire

A 71-year-old man died following a three-alarm house fire in Union County on Friday night.

On Nov. 3 just before 5 p.m., Garwood Fire Department was called to a working structure fire.

Firefighters arrived to find fire showing from the first floor of the home, said Garwood Fire Department.

A 71-year-old man was found near the area of the start of the fire and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Pedestrian Killed In Jersey City Crash

A pedestrian was struck and killed in Jersey City on Saturday, according to media reports. The incident took place in the area f 16th Street and Marin Boulevard.

This is the ninth fatal crash in Jersey City this year, according to NJ.com

19-Year-Old Killed In Motorcycle Crash

A 19-year-old was killed in Evesham on Saturday when a truck collided with his motorcycle, Evesham Police said.

On Saturday around 7:56 p.m., Evesham Police responded to the area of State Highway Route 73 and Dutch Road for a crash.

On arrival, officers found that a motorcycle and truck were involved in a collision. The motorcyclist, Tyler Ciabattoni, 19, from Marlton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle Brandon Braciszewski, 18, of Marlton and a 15-year-old Marlton female passenger were uninjured.

According to investigation, Braciszewski’s vehicle was traveling west on Dutch Road, attempted to enter Route 73 southbound, after crossing straight over the northbound lanes.

Braciszewski’s vehicle was struck by Ciabattoni’s motorcycle.

Woman Dies Weeks After Shooting

A 19-year-old woman died Friday, as a result of a shooting that occurred in mid- October, according to media reports.

Zahriy Moore of Paterson was pronounced dead on Friday, Nov. 3, NJ.com reported.

On Oct. 17, Paterson Police were dispatched to the area of East Holsman Street and North Bridge Street in Paterson, on a report of a shooting.

On arrival, authorities found two shooting victims - an 18-year-old male and Moore.

Both were taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson. The investigation remains active and ongoing, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said.
