The long holiday weekend saw serious, sometimes fatal, injuries in the Garden State.
NEW JERSEY – During the long Thanksgiving weekend, eight people were killed in crashes, fires and a stabbing across the Garden State.
Warren Teen killed In Thanksgiving Day Stabbing
A 17-year-old football player from Warren Township was fatally stabbed Thanksgiving morning outside an ax-throwing establishment in Manhattan, police said.

Rocco Rodden was stabbed at 96 Lafayette St. in Tribeca. Police responded to the area shortly before 2 a.m. and found Rodden and a second 19-year-old victim suffering from stab wounds.
Rodden was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he died, police said.

Man Charged In Thanksgiving Death Of Elizabeth Woman
A man from Elizabeth was charged with murder and other offenses in connection with the death of a 30-year-old woman on Thanksgiving Day, prosecutors said.
Gerard Manning, 30, was arrested Friday following a day-long search, the Union County Prosecutor's Office announced. Manning is accused of killing 30-year-old Victoria Myers at an Elizabeth apartment complex Thursday.
According to prosecutors, authorities were called to Mravlag Manor early Thursday for a report of a homicide. When officers arrived, they found Myers dead at the scene.
The investigation into Myers' death is ongoing.
1 Dead In Fatal Thanksgiving House Fire
One person was killed in a house fire on Thanksgivingin Somerset County, the Prosecutor's Office said.
Franklin Township Firefighters along with Franklin Township Police were called to an active single-family house fire on Amwell Road. The home was fully engulfed in the blaze when police and fire arrived. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters found the remains of one person, authorities said.
A positive identification of the decedent is pending by the Medical Examiner's Office. The investigation remains ongoing to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
Man Shot Multiple Times On Sidewalk
A man was shot multiple times on a Trenton sidewalk Friday morning, authorities said.
Around 6:30 a.m. that morning, Trenton police responded to the first block of Oliver Avenue for a ShotSpotter activation where they found a man on the sidewalk shot multiple times, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.
The man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
Motorcyclist Killed In Fatal Ewing Crash
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday in Ewing, authorities said.
Just before 5 p.m., Ewing Police came upon a serious motor vehicle crash in the area of Parkway Avenue at Walter Street. The crash involved two vehicles, one of which was a motorcycle, authorities said.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The identity of the victim has not been released.
The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Serious Collision Response Team responded to assist with the investigation. The investigation into the crash is active and ongoing.

Mother of 2 Killed In Warren County Crash
A 33-year-old mother of two children was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Warren County on Wednesday, authorities said.
Lauren M. Gerhold was driving a Jeep SUV north of Rt. 517 when the crash occurred at the intersection of Ridge Road in Allanmuchy Township, authorities said. Another Jeep Wrangler was traveling east on Ridge Rd and hit the passenger side of a Ford Pickup truck headed south on Rt. 517, police said.
The impact to the Ford redirected it to driver side of Gerhold vehicle. All drivers suffered serious injuries and a helicopter evacuated them to a local hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
32-Year-Old Killed In Thanksgiving Crash
A 32-year-old Fair Lawn man was killed after his car hit a telephone pole, on Thanksgiving Day, according to media reports.
William Hennecke died after his Porche Boxster hit a utility pole on Rt. 203 around 5:39 p.m. Thursday on the southbound side of the highway, across from the shuttered Nabisco plant, NJ.com reported.
No one else was in the car at the time of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
Man Struck, Killed By Police Car On Thanksgiving
A man died on Thanksgiving morning after he was struck by a police car in Atco, NJ, the Attorney General’s Office said.
An on-duty Waterford Police Department officer, operating a department vehicle, struck the man on White Horse Pike on Route 30, in Atco. The man was pronounced dead on scene at 2:19 a.m., the AG’s office said.
Identities of those involved in the crash have not been released.
As per state law, the Attorney General’s Office is investigating the matter. All evidence will eventually be presented to a grand jury who will decide if the officer should be indicted.
The investigation is ongoing.
Multiple People Injured In Frankford Township Crash
At least four people were injured in a crash that took place on Saturday in Frankford Township, the fire department said.
The fire department was dispatched to West Owassa Turnpike for a two-car crash at 11:50 a.m. Firefighters arrived on the scene and found two people with critical injuries and two others with non-life-threatening injuries.
All four were taken to local hospitals for further treatment/evaluation.
30-Year-Old Man Shot In Paterson
A 30-year-old man was shot in Paterson on Friday night and is currently recovering, according to media reports. The shooting occurred near Market Street and Madison Avenue, News12 reported. The investigation is ongoing.
Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Egg Harbor on Saturday evening, police said. The driver of a car was charged with DUI following the crash.
The crash occurred just before 5:30 p.m. on Black Horse Pike at Silver Avenue.
According to investigation, a 2004 Volvo driven by Mona Cole of Egg Harbor was traveling eastbound on Black Horse Pike and stopped at the intersection with Silver Avenue, while attempting to turn northbound.
She made a left turn and came directly in front of the motorcycle driven by Thomas Hasenauer, causing him to crash into her car, police said.
Hasenauer tried to break and swerve but could not stop his motorcycle from hitting the car, police said. He was thrown from his bike and suffered serious injuries. Hasenauer was taken to the Atlantic Care Medical Center Trauma Unit.
Cole did not suffer any injuries but was charged with assault by auto.
