Maxi was scheduled to be euthanized on Jan. 2, 2012 at a high kill shelter. One of ARF’s volunteers saw her sweet face and couldn’t let that happen to her, so she took her in. Maxi is a spayed female black and white cat. Her previous owners said she is about 7 years old. They gave her up because someone in the family had allergies. She weighs 11 pounds and is current on her vaccines, negative for felv/fiv, and is micro chipped. Her previous owners said she doesn’t mind their other cats and plays with their dog. She always uses her litter box and loves to scratch on her scratching post. They said she is shy with strangers at first, but is a very friendly, sweet cat who loves her chin to be rubbed, and wants to be pet. Maxi will be at the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot shopping center, on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday to see if anything has changed.
