Another Bear Spotted Monday In East Brunswick Area
A black bear was spotted in the Ryders Lane area near Rutgers Farms according to Milltown Police.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Another black bear was spotted in the Ryders Lane area near Rutgers Farms in East Brunswick, according to an alert sent out by Milltown Police.
"It is possible that the bear is coming close to the Janet Court areas," Milltown police said.
Authorities asked residents to remain calm and as they are monitoring the situation. The bear appears to be passing through the area, Milltown officials said.

On Sunday, a black bear has been spotted in East Brunswick's Lawrence Brook area.
"Black bears, by nature, tend to be wary of people. If you are indoors and observe the bear, stay there and call the police at 732-828-1100. You can also call the DEP hotline at 877-927-6337," Milltown police said.

- Do not approach bears
- Do not run from bears
- Do not make direct eye contact with bears
- Remain Calm and slowly back away
- Make the bear aware of you
- Be loud: speak in an assertive voice, yell, sing, or clap your hands. If available, bang pots and pans or use an airhorn.
- Make yourself look big.
- Wave your arms.
