Blue Angels to Take Flight This Morning Along the Hudson
Two jets will make passes as low as 500 feet above the ground during a practice run.

If anyone in the area is interested, Emergency Management Coordinator Austin Kosik made this announcement Monday morning:
"For those who have interest along the Hudson River and Metro NYC:
"The US Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron ("Blue Angels") will execute a survey flight between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the New York City area.

"The Blue Angels Aerial Survey Flight will consist of two F/A-18 Hornet Fighter Jets. The aircraft will conduct passes as low as 500 feet above ground level and at speeds up to 300 knots in order to familiarize and evaluate a potential flight course for the upcoming US Navy War of 1812 commemoration during this year’s Fleet Week celebration in May. The Verrazano Bridge and the George Washington Bridge will serve as entry and exit points."
