2 People Found Dead In Egg Harbor
Two people were found dead inside their Egg Harbor Township home over the weekend.

Police were dispatched to the home on the 2000 block of Fire Road Saturday morning for reports of two unresponsive people inside, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
On arrival, authorities found the dead bodies of Thai Tran, 28, and Viet Tran, 53.

The cause and manner of the deaths were not immediately available. The Southern Regional Medical Examiner's Office took the bodies and autopsies are pending, authorities said.
The prosecutor's office and Egg Harbor Township police are investigating.
Man Charged With Murder In Death Of Mother
An Ocean City man was charged in the death of his 74-year-old mother, according to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Ocean City Police Chief Bill Campbell.
Jeffrey Surgent, 46, called Ocean City police at about 4 p.m. on Friday to tell them that he was suffering from mental illness and he had just killed his mother, authorities said.
Police responded to the residence on the 600 block of 6th Street, where they found Surgent and the body of his dead mother, authorities said.
Surgent was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with first-degree murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Man Charged With Murder In Bergen County
A 60-year-old man was charged with murder after a person was found dead at a home in Franklin Lakes on Sunday morning, authorities said.
David Allen Hagal, 60, was charged with the killing of George J. Hagal, 87, at their home some time that morning, prosecutors said.
On Sunday at approximately 7:33 a.m., the Franklin Lakes Police Department was notified of a person found dead at 552 Haddon Place.
On arrival, officers found Hagal, 87, dead.
Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Franklin Lakes Police Department investigated and determined that in the early morning hours, David Allen Hagal, who lives at the Haddon Place address, had killed the elder Hagal.
He was charged with first-degree murder, two counts of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and two counts of fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
Man Found Dead In Hackensack River
Authorities in New Jersey are investigating the death of a man who was found dead in the Hackensack River on Saturday.
Around 12:45 p.m., Secaucus Police Department received a report of a possible body in the river near the Eastern Spur of the NJ Turnpike, Hudson County prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Authorities recovered the body of a man with help from Lyndhurst and Mahwah Fire Department Underwater Recovery Units and the Secaucus, Kearny, and Wallington Fire Departments.
The man was pronounced dead shortly after 5:30 p.m. He has not been identified and the New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit has been notified to assist with the identification, Suarez said.
The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
This matter is being investigated by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Secaucus Police Department.

93-Year-Old Man Killed in 3-Car Collision
A 93-year-old man was killed in a three-car collision on Saturday afternoon in Monroe, according to media reports.
The crash took place around 2:09 p.m. when two westbound SUVs stopped on Buckelew Avenue. The man’s car went off the road, hit two street signs, sideswiped an SUV waiting at the traffic light and hit the rear wheel of another, reported NJ.com.
He was ejected from his SUV and killed, according to the report.
