Camp YOMECA: Big Camp Experience…Little Camp Cost

Register now for the YMCA's summer camp.

In a few weeks YMCA Camp Yomeca at the Raritan Valley YMCA will open the 2012 camps season.  The leadership team is excited, the counselors trained and eager to meet their kids and the program staff ready to deliver another exciting summer.  Camp Yomeca has grown each of the last five summers which is incredible considering the climate of our economy.

The rates are affordable (especially with early and extended care included at no extra charge) and intentionally kept low to make camp accessible to everyone.  Don’t let the low rate fool you. Camp Yomeca delivers high quality progressive programs and provides exceptional support both to its campers and their families.

Parents choose Camp Yomeca for its convenient weekly sessions and flexibility of registration and the full camp experience provided from 7 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Children receive swim instruction four days a week and go on a field trip weekly; in addition to a full slate of activities including nature, drama, dance, archery, cooking, fitness, arts and crafts, sports, theme events and more. Specialty Camps are also available to children who want to devote more of their camp day to a special interest like tennis, cooking, cartooning, soccer, or performing arts.

Most importantly, the camp staff works very hard to cultivate positive relationships with families to provide a strong support network for each and every child.  The primary focus at camp is to create an environment where children have opportunities to develop new skills, build new friendships, and grow their independence. Children may take risks, branch out and extend their capabilities knowing that they are encouraged and supported.

Camp Yomeca opens its first session on June 18 and ends its season on Aug. 31.

Summer camp is an experience that every child should have and at Camp Yomeca they are creating a truly magical summer for each and every camper from their youngest preschooler (3-5 years) to their oldest counselor in training (13-14 years) and everyone in between.
