Festival Of Strings & Flavors: East Brunswick Host 1st Annual GuitarBQ Saturday

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Art Commission will be hosting its inaugural GuitarBQ event on Saturday, May 17, at the Community Arts Center.

This exciting outdoor festival will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing together music lovers and food enthusiasts for a day of stringed instrument celebration.

GuitarBQ promises to be a family-friendly event showcasing a wide range of stringed instruments, from ukuleles to guitars. Attendees can look forward to diverse performances throughout the day, including an exciting Dueling Guitars segment among other musical showcases.

The highlight of the day will be a mass community performance where musicians of all skill levels are invited to play together. The Art Commission has arranged for a conductor who will lead this special collaborative musical experience.

To ensure harmony, instructional videos for several songs have been prepared, allowing participants to practice beforehand and ensure everyone plays in the same key and time. Vocalists are also encouraged to join in and sing along during this community music-making moment.
