East Brunswick High School Principal Will Be Leaving District In March
The BOE is expected to announce an interim principal for the high school on Thursday.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – Michael Vinella, the Principal of East Brunswick High School will be leaving the district this March.
The Board of Education accepted Vinella’s early retirement during the Dec. 22 meeting and it will be effective March 1.
Superintendent Victor Valeski told the community that the search for a new high school principal will begin immediately.

“East Brunswick Public Schools is appreciative of Dr. Vinella’s work and his contributions to the high school and district. We wish him well in his future endeavors,” Valeski said.
Post his retirement from the school district, Vinella will be heading to the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association, where he’ll be starting in a new role. His job begins in March.

In 2020, Vinella was named NASSP NJ Principal of the Year and NJPSA/FEA Visionary Principal of the Year.
Vinella has been with the East Brunswick School District for nearly 29 years, beginning as a social studies teacher at Churchill in 1995.
In 2000, he moved to EBHS to teach economics and history and then in 2004 began his career as assistant principal.
In 2012, he stepped into the role of Principal at EBHS.
The BOE is expected to announce an interim principal for the high school on Thursday, during the reorganization meeting.
