EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – The township of East Brunswick is stepping up efforts to promote itself as a regional destination with a strategic marketing campaign aimed at bringing visitors and businesses from across New Jersey.

With the arrival of spring and summer approaching, Mayor Brad Cohen's administration has planned an extensive lineup of events while implementing new promotional strategies to attract people from beyond the township's borders.

“We've embarked on a very aggressive marketing campaign to get the word out beyond just East Brunswick about the things that we're doing,” Cohen told the community during Monday’s council meeting.

“For our commercial corridor to be successful, it isn't going to be dependent on just the people that live in East Brunswick. We need to get back to what we used to be in terms of having the rest of the world know that there's a lot going on here in East Brunswick.”

The mayor emphasized that establishing East Brunswick as an attractive destination for visitors is critical to enticing new businesses and increasing township revenue.

"We're putting the time and the effort to make sure that that word gets out to communities, because that's how we get the business community back here, working at the type of levels that we remember several decades ago," Cohen said.

As part of this modern approach to promotion, the township has launched "The Buzz About East Brunswick" podcast, hosted by Greg T and featuring Mayor Cohen discussing township happenings, blending nostalgia with current information and future plans.

The township is now inviting residents to participate in the podcast - including singers, songwriters, house decorators, and business owners. Interested individuals contributing to making East Brunswick vibrant can submit their information to BAEB@BuzzAboutEB.com for consideration.
