East Brunswick Man Faces Multiple Charges Following Road Rage Incident

South River Police are seeking the public's assistance to identify three additional suspects still at large.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — An East Brunswick man was charged with aggravated assault and other offenses following a road rage incident where an illegal firearm was found in his vehicle, South River Police said.

On April 1, an unmarked patrol vehicle witnessed the conclusion of a violent road rage confrontation on Ferry Street around 5:27 p.m, Chief Mark Tinitigan said. The incident involved multiple individuals wielding weapons.

Through swift investigation, officers identified 21-year-old Donovan Cimaglia of East Brunswick as one of the participants. A search warrant executed on Cimaglia's vehicle led to the discovery of a handgun with a loaded high-capacity magazine, Tinitigan said.

Cimaglia now faces multiple charges including aggravated assault, riot, criminal mischief, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and prohibited weapons and devices. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Police are seeking the public's assistance to identify three additional suspects still at large. They have released images of the three unidentified suspects and a vehicle believed to be used during the incident.

"Our detectives' rapid response and thorough investigation took a dangerous weapon off the street," Tinitigan said. "We're hoping the public can help identify the remaining individuals involved in this senseless act."
