Protect Holiday Delivery: East Brunswick PD Share Theft Prevention Tips
With Holiday shopping on, the opportunity for package theft has increased.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – With the Holiday season here, residents will be busy purchasing items online. While ordering online is a convenient way to shop, unattended packages on the front porch also invite thieves.
The East Brunswick Police Department has shared some tips with the community to reduce the potential of having delivered packages stolen from the front porch.
Here’s what you can do:

- Bring your delivered package inside as soon as possible
- Install a video doorbell or security camera
- Use a locking drop box
- Request a delivery confirmation signature
- Ask them to hide the delivery out of sight
- Send it to a secure location other than your home
- Opt for ship-to-store
